The meeting, with around 50 collaborators, provided an opportunity for networking among participants but, above all, served as a strategic reflection space on current challenges and issues. It also focused on planning and defining mitigation actions to achieve the outlined objectives.
Supported by the Mota-Engil Group’s 22/26 Strategic Plan, the session began with the CEO of Mota-Engil Capital, José Pedro Freitas, providing a brief overview and introducing the companies within this business unit.

Innovative areas related to Energy and Mobility, through Mota-Engil Renewing, as well as Asset Management through Mota-Engil ATIV and Tourism, took the opportunity to review and analyze the main challenges of 2024 and the outlook for 2025.
Special emphasis was also given to the management of transport concessions, as well as their operation and maintenance through Mota-Engil Concessions and Lineas. Additionally, the new challenges in the construction and maintenance of the High-Speed Rail line, through Avan Norte, and the development of the Novo Hospital de Todos os Santos (HLO) were highlighted.
With the recent challenge of creating the SGI within Mota-Engil Capital and achieving global certification as a group-wide goal, there was also room for the SHEQ & Sustainability@Mota-Engil area. This reinforced, among other topics, the importance of safety and the imperative analysis of risk situations to prevent accidents.
With ESG and Technology becoming increasingly present in the Organization’s daily operations, and in an effort to anticipate the future and its impacts, there was also time to explore external contributions from KPMG and CEIIA on ESG Risks and Opportunities, Digitalization, Robotics, and Smart Cities.
“Temos um ano de 2025 pela frente cheio de desafios e que todos juntos consigamos atingir aquilo que são os propósitos que lançamos para este ano”, foi a mensagem de José Pedro Freitas.
