A partner of both associations, and as has become customary, Mota-Engil ATIV participated in two benchmark events in the field of golf course maintenance: the XXIII APG Congress (Portuguese Greenkeepers Association), held from November 6 to 8 at the Vidamar Hotel in Algarve, and the 45th Annual Congress of the Spanish Greenkeepers Association in Elche, Spain, from November 12 to 14.
With highly attended sessions and packed rooms, it was an excellent opportunity to showcase the Dryject Technology, reinforcing Mota-Engil ATIV’s position as one of the leading players in the Iberian market in the sports turf sector, covering design, construction, maintenance, and refurbishment.
This technology has increasingly proven its effectiveness, particularly in enhancing drainage capacity, improving soil aeration and root oxygenation, reducing the need for drastic aeration practices, and boosting the effectiveness of additives at depth (between 0-25 cm).
In turn, after using Dryject, the playing surface becomes ready for sports activity, reducing field closure time and ensuring minimal financial impact.
Combined with SAP – “Super Absorbent Polymer,” it also enables a reduction in irrigation water consumption for turf by up to 50%. Currently, there are numerous applications across various golf courses and gardens, from north to south of Portugal, with proven results in both turf improvement and quality enhancement.
Mota-Engil ATIV’s participation in these two initiatives was an excellent opportunity to showcase its expertise, demonstrate its work, and simultaneously learn about trends, share experiences, and exchange valuable information with all professionals in the sports turf industry, both in Portugal and Spain.
