The Eng. António de Almeida Foundation, in Porto, hosted the first “Porto Urban Greening Biennial,” organized by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) in collaboration with the Porto City Council.
Dedicated to the theme Planting the Living City, the event focused on discussing the current and future challenges of implementing and managing Urban Green Infrastructure, a fundamental strategy for addressing the climate emergency and promoting environmental justice, social cohesion, and integration.
As part of its activities and in alignment with the themes of water efficiency, water conservation, green roofs, and sustainability, Mota-Engil ATIV was one of the event’s partners and was present at the gathering.
The first edition featured a panel of renowned national and international experts in landscape architecture, along with students and policymakers. It also included presentations of innovative and inspiring projects, workshops, and guided tours of Porto’s parks and gardens.
For Mota-Engil ATIV, it was another opportunity to gain knowledge and remain focused on improving the quality of life for communities and reducing the impact of its activities on climate change.
