ATIV participates in an International Summit on Water Efficiency

This unique event, organized by the National Governing Council of the Order of Engineers, brought together experts, leaders, and global decision-makers to address the urgent challenges of water management, aiming to identify innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

Climate change, population growth, and other factors are leading to water scarcity in many regions, with devastating impacts on the environment, agriculture, public health, and the economy.

The main themes focused on promoting water efficiency in agriculture, industry, and services; implementing innovative technologies for water management, including desalination, wastewater reuse, and smart agriculture; cross-border cooperation; and ensuring equitable and sustainable access to water for all.

At Mota-Engil ATIV, Water Efficiency is one of the pillars of Sustainability, daily reinforcing awareness and contributing with solutions, technologies, and practices to reduce water consumption in its operations and construction projects.

An example of these practices is the use of innovative DRYJECT + SAP technology, which has proven to be a highly effective tool in reducing the water footprint associated with maintaining various green spaces, achieving savings of over 50%.

Water leak detection systems, proper operations of wastewater treatment plants, solutions for reusing wastewater produced in yards for irrigation and cleaning, rainwater harvesting, the installation of water-saving mechanisms in ATIV offices, and the promotion of consumption changes are also utilized.
