Excellence in Maintenance Engineering

The Industry division of Mota-Engil ATIV is developing a range of Lean methodologies for the Client Resulima, associated with the industrial maintenance contract, in order to optimize their services and simultaneously create a greater interconnection between the maintenance and production areas, aiming to improve the Client’s productivity indices.

The idea is that these services can be standardized and implemented in the other companies within the group where ATIV provides industrial maintenance services, thus enabling three important concepts: delivery of Value to the Client; elimination of waste (anything that does not add value to the final product or process); and continuous improvement.

In this regard, practical on-site training sessions have been conducted with the Mota-Engil ATIV team so that they can acquire the necessary skills, as well as with the Client, who viewed this initiative very positively, as they already use various Lean methodologies in their production line.

The training was characterized by the proposal of Integration and interaction of Maintenance Engineering in the production process, with the aim of interacting effectively with the production process from the perspective of achieving zero failures.

The goals were to reduce the current number of failures, develop the preventive maintenance plan, and implement planned corrective maintenance.
