This intervention adds five kilometers to the existing route, covering an area of approximately 14.1 hectares, increasing the total length of the Caminho Ribeirinho to 17 kilometers.

The construction work, carried out by Mota-Engil ATIV, is part of a project focused on environmental and landscape rehabilitation and conservation, emphasizing sustainability and the integration of technology with nature.
Highlights include:
Benches equipped with solar chargers for mobile phones
Smart lighting poles offering free Wi-Fi access and device charging via solar and wind energy systems
Infrastructure Enhancements
The project also included the construction of several functional artworks, such as:
Bridges crossing water lines (e.g., near the mouth of the Rio da Silveira)
Restoration of Tide Valves

Purpose and Community Impact
The Caminho Ribeirinho aims to connect the 22 kilometers of the right bank of the Tagus River within the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, strengthening ties between the various riverside parishes. It is increasingly popular for:
Walking
Outdoor sports
Bird watching
This is another challenging project aligned with the mission of Mota-Engil ATIV, combining territorial enhancement, sustainable development, and improved quality of life for users of the spaces it designs, builds, and maintains.
