Covering an area of 17.5 hectares, the Carnide Green Park, developed by Mota-Engil ATIV, aims to become a model of well-being, active citizenship, and urban quality of life, serving the local population.

The intervention by Mota-Engil ATIV included civil construction and landscape architecture, involving land modeling, construction of walls and reinforced concrete elements, paving, planting, irrigation and lighting systems, and a fitness maintenance circuit, among other features.
Based on nature-based solutions, around 5,900 trees and 70,000 shrubs from 70 different native species were planted, creating a space of high ecological value and climate resilience for Lisbon.

According to the municipality, the Carnide Green Park was designed as a multifunctional and intergenerational space, intended for cultural, sports, and leisure activities, “bringing nature back to the city and enhancing biodiversity.”
Positioning itself as a community gathering point, this project marks another decisive step by Mota-Engil ATIV in its commitment to revitalize spaces and create environmental, social, and cultural value for the population.
