Motta-Engil ATIV marked its presence at the launch of the publication “ESG for Commercial Real Estate 2.0: Selected issues and practices,” promoted by other entities and with the participation of Motta-Engil Polska, a branch dedicated to Facilities Management (FM).
The article led by the managing director of Motta-Engil Polska, Małgorzata Wilczek, titled “How to align environmental objectives and increase biodiversity,” was part of the publication, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability and the implementation of responsible practices in the European real estate market.


Augusto Junqueiro, CEO of Motta-Engil ATIV, actively participated in the discussion panels, which addressed topics such as ESG legislation, energy efficiency in commercial buildings, the impact of ESG on real estate valuation, and support solutions for implementing decarbonization strategies.

These talks were about important things like the rules for being green and fair (that’s what ESG means!), how to save energy in big buildings like offices, how being green changes how much buildings are worth, and ways to help make things that don’t release a lot of bad stuff into the air (that’s decarbonization!).


In this context, Augusto Junqueiro highlighted innovative solutions like offsite/silviculture, as well as measures for reducing water and energy consumption, essential for facing the growing challenge of cost reduction in the real estate sector.
