This intervention aimed to create greater harmony in public spaces and promote the increase of tree species, having a direct impact on the quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality of Santarém.
With the creation of new public green spaces and the restoration of some existing ones, this was an investment aimed at improving the city’s green infrastructure and promoting more sustainable and pleasant environments for its residents.
A total of 143 trees and 1,938 shrubs/herbaceous plants were planted, with the selection of vegetation being carefully made, considering their characteristics, location within the urban fabric, and the existing specimens in the surrounding area.
