“Consolidate the Now, Drive the Future”


On October 3rd, Mota-Engil ATIV held the Management Meeting under the theme “Consolidate the Now, Drive the Future,” bringing together over 150 employees from various areas and regions, as well as representatives from affiliated and partner companies, at the Northern delegation in Modivas.

The meeting provided a strategic reflection space on the future of the organization, aimed at promoting professional development, encouraging the sharing of knowledge and experiences, and strengthening collaboration among colleagues. Additionally, it sought to align participants around crucial strategic topics for the continued growth and success of Mota-Engil ATIV.







The CEO, Augusto Junqueiro, opened the day with an update on the 22/26 Strategic Plan and its alignment across the different business areas, with a special emphasis on the focus on energy, water, and carbon efficiency solutions. These efforts are supported by operational efficiency, internationalization, and innovation, which are essential to ensuring the organization’s competitiveness and sustained growth.

In the morning, topics such as Economic Performance and Financial Strategy, People and Talent Retention, Various Businesses, One Company, Major Ongoing Projects, ATIV in the World, and ATIV Affiliates were discussed.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the Client Sharing Moment, which featured the participation of BPI and the Esposende City Council. These partners highlighted the challenges and opportunities arising from their collaboration with Mota-Engil, emphasizing the strategic importance of this relationship for both parties.

In the afternoon, participants, divided into groups and coordinated by sponsors, worked on various topics with a focus on identifying and proposing improvements for ATIV. The topics discussed included Profitability and Cash Flow, Innovation and Sustainability, Internationalization, Optimization of Internal Processes, Accident Rates, and People. As a result, actions, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) were established, making the afternoon highly productive and generating promising ideas for the future of the organization.

The meeting also featured a cultural moment, during which Isabel Carneiro, from the Association for the Defense of Handicrafts and Heritage of Vila do Conde, gave a brief demonstration of the traditional Bobbin Lace, a craft technique that is a symbol of the city.

Closing the event, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mota-Engil Capital, José Pedro Freitas, reinforced ATIV’s vision of international growth. “We need to create, lead, and train local teams, bringing our know-how and experience, respecting local cultures, while maintaining a focus on profitability and investing in new value segments,” he concluded.
