Rehabilitation of the Marianas Outfall

Mota-Engil ATIV is carrying out the Phase II works of the Marianas Outfall for the client Águas do Tejo Atlântico, an essential project for the modernization of the sanitation infrastructure along a 4.7 km route between São Domingos de Rana and Carcavelos.

This outfall, which is over 45 years old, is being rehabilitated with the aim of addressing various issues, including infiltration, degradation of thresholds and structures, as well as drainage problems.

The work began in mid-June 2024, with completion expected in December. During this period, Mota-Engil ATIV will rehabilitate 55 inspection chambers, ensuring that these infrastructures are fully restored and that their structural and operational performance is optimized.

Our goal is not only to correct existing deficiencies but also to extend the system’s lifespan, contributing to the efficiency and safety of the sanitation network.

Mota-Engil ATIV is committed to providing effective solutions and supporting the client Águas do Tejo Atlântico at every step of the process, ensuring the success of this project.
