The municipality of Vila Franca de Xira is getting closer to having a fully pedestrian and cycle-friendly riverside front, and one of the responsible parties is Mota-Engil ATIV, which is in charge of the construction of the Tejo Estuary Linear Riverside Park Alverca do Ribatejo/Sobralinho.
The project will connect the riverside front between Sobralinho and Alverca and will have an extension of about 4.9 kilometers and an approximate area of 14.1 hectares.
The park, with its distinctly natural character, serves as an element that enhances the presence of water and the Tejo Estuary, highlighting it as a resource with strategic environmental and landscape value.
In addition to the environmental and landscape rehabilitation and conservation, the project also includes the installation of LED lighting equipment capable of generating its own energy through photovoltaic/wind systems. These will power the integrated luminaires on the columns, as well as the video surveillance system.
