With the aim of preventing occupational health and safety risks and minimizing accident rates, Mota-Engil ATIV decided to implement the Management Site Visits program, highlighting this very important topic.
The visits are promoted and accompanied by the Administration/Management and aim, above all, at communication, awareness, and sharing of occupational health and safety (OHS) practices. They focus on the identification and reporting of hazardous conditions and unsafe acts, participation and accountability in OHS, and fostering a culture of safe and healthy work in alignment with the GOLDEN RULES of the Mota-Engil Group.
The Site Inspections are conducted in the presence of everyone and begin with a moment of reflection focusing on accident rates and/or other relevant topics, followed by the monitoring of work and teams (both internal and subcontracted). At the end, a report will be generated that records the actions taken during the visit and highlights any deviations and opportunities for improvement identified.
Taking advantage of the themed month of April dedicated to Landscaping, four visits were made to the Brisa A13, Relvado Alverca, Feira Popular, and Matosinhos contracts.
The next step will be to extend the program to the remaining areas of the organization, starting with the Water and Pipelines sector in May.
Safety and health can only be achieved with everyone’s participation. Together, we will contribute to making 2024 an exemplary year.
