Keeping up with the tradition that has been in place since 2019, Mota-Engil ATIV once again associated itself with Pinheiro Bombeiro, an initiative of a social nature that resumes the tradition of having a natural pine tree, in a more sustainable, environmentally friendly and at the same time solidary way.
The pine trees in this project come from cleaning actions in Portuguese forests, having been cut down to keep the land clean and prevent fires. For each tree purchased, €5 will go towards the purchase of professional material and equipment for the Portuguese Voluntary Fire Brigade.
In addition to its charitable nature, this initiative stands out for its environmental aspect by offering a second life to these pine trees, promoting circularity and sustainability. At the end of the rental, the pine tree is returned and transformed into biomass, ending the rental and its use in a sustainable manner.
In the 6th edition of the Pinheiro Bombeiro event, around 4,500 pine trees were rented, resulting in a donation of approximately 25 thousand euros in professional material for the Portuguese Voluntary Fire Brigade.
Small gestures can really make a difference and it only depends on each one to make that decision. By supporting good causes Mota-Engil ATIV wants to contribute to a better and more sustainable future!
