Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, 26-36 times more harmful than CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere over a period of 100 years.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Faced with this problem, instead of being released into the atmosphere, GHGs can be collected, converted, and used as a renewable energy source using power generators, which produce electricity by burning landfill biogas.
