AgIR aims to develop a joint work with the municipalities served by \u00c1guas do Tejo Atl\u00e2ntico and the respective industries for an adequate management of Industrial Wastewater in that region.<\/p>\n\n

This is a pioneer outreach project, providing technical support to industries, encouraging them to look at their production process, namely the pre-treatment of wastewater, contributing to improve the efficiency of the processes.<\/p>\n\n

The Mota-Engil ATIV team, made up of 6 engineers with specialized training in Environment and Chemistry and 3 operational technicians, is providing technical support and working closely with \u00c1guas do Tejo Atl\u00e2ntico, with the 23 municipalities of Greater Lisbon and West and with the industries in its area of influence, in the analysis of the efficiency of industrial effluent management and production processes.<\/p>\n\n

The final objective is to minimize the undue industrial influences on the municipal drainage networks and treatment systems, which compromise the integrity of the infrastructures and threaten compliance with discharge licenses in the receiving media.<\/p>\n\n

An analysis of the production processes of each industry is also carried out and circular measures to reduce water and energy consumption and reuse of by-products are identified, contributing to the environmental performance of industries.<\/p>\n\n

This project focuses on one of ATIV’s main areas of activity: environmental sustainability. Together with the industries, we are promoting good environmental practices and assessing and proposing measures that contribute to water and energy efficiency and optimization of resources.<\/p>\n\n

The main expectations include a visible and effective improvement of the public sanitation service, as well as the protection of water lines through the eradication of undue industrial inflows of industrial water without proper pre-treatment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
