{"id":10850,"date":"2024-04-18T15:39:52","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T15:39:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ativ.pt\/2024\/04\/18\/biochar-in-the-spotlight-at-the-montado-technical-days\/"},"modified":"2024-07-02T09:33:15","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T09:33:15","slug":"biochar-in-the-spotlight-at-the-montado-technical-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ativ.pt\/en\/2024\/04\/18\/biochar-in-the-spotlight-at-the-montado-technical-days\/","title":{"rendered":"BIOCHAR in the Spotlight at the Montado Technical Days"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mota-Engil ATIV was present at the Montado Technical Days, held in Coruche on April 9th, which brought together over 70 participants to discuss, debate, and reflect on creating added value in the montado.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the event, strategies were presented and discussed not only for the adoption of agricultural practices adapted to climate change through the Climate Farm Demo project, but also mechanisms for adapting European Union funding policies to the reality of the montado through the MIXED project.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Framed within a dynamic of promoting value creation in this ecosystem through the carbon market, the potential of the montado in carbon sequestration was discussed by Professor Joana Amaral Paulo from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA). In this context, Jos\u00e9 Pinheiro from the Carbon Management Department provided practical insights on Biochar production.
